Hosted by the Baltaire Restaurant, the tasting featured on the dry white list a selection of the best Furmint, like the Mád Furmint 2015, the Szent Tamás Furmint 2012 and Szent Tamás Dongó Furmint 2013 and a real uniqueness for the sweet ones, the Szent Tamás Dongó Szamorodni 2013. Presented by Attila Balla, President and CEO of Vinum Tokaj International in the company of Károly Kovács, owner of the Szent Tamás Winery, the wines enchanted the guests and proved to be the excellent pairing with the variety of dishes served, among them the smoked salmon, chicken panzanella salad and blueberry madeleine with lemon curd.
The event offered possibility to discuss the ways and further steps of co-operation between Szent Tamás Winery, Vinum Tokaj International LLC. and the M Dash Group for the upcoming months and the preparation for the “Year of Furmint 2017” campaign to be launched on the 1st of January 2017 with the aim to pave and support dry Furmint’s way into the US wine stores and dining tables.
