The upcoming direct flight between Toronto and Budapest to be launched on June 10, 2016 opens new opportunities to promote tourism to Hungary and to our world famous wine regions.

At the reception organized on the 11th of April in Toronto at her residence, Consul General, Stefánia Szabó introduced some of Hungary’s tourist attractions including the Jewish heritage sites and offered some great Hungarian wines for tasting. Vice President of Air Canada Rouge, Mr. Vijay Bathija presented the airline and Mr. Tamás Nagy of Mad Wine described the unique background of the Tokaj Wine region and some of their outstanding wines, among them the Dry by Tokaj, developed especially for the North American market and chosen as the Top Imported White Wine of Canada.

Hope to welcome more and more Canadian guests in Hungary and in the Tokaj Wine Region and have some great Hungarian wines offered for on-board tasting at the Air Canada flights!
