The first event to be held by Tokaj Vinum Canada Inc. in December was a wine tasting with dinner organized on the occasion of Hungarian Canadian Engineers Association’s year-end gala dinner at the Tokaj Wine Boutique+Restaurant in Toronto.

Guests of the dinner, that took place on December 13, 2015. were welcomed by Mr. Sándor Király, President of the Association followed by a three-course dinner including a wine presentation delivered by sommelier Joseph Safian. Upon his recommendation, participants could taste the Dry by Tokaj as well as the dry white Furmint from Mád during the main courses, while the Sweet by Tokaj and Patrícius Winery’s 5 Puttonyos Tokaj Aszú were offered to accompany the dessert.

After a week of Santa Claus’s Day, and with the Christmas Holiday on the doorstep, the dinner turned to be a real family event thanks to the presence of children. Santa Claus himself appeared to reward a selection of gifts for children who in return performed a Christmas program to those present.

The festive mood continued to accumulate in the raffle drawing, where in addition to the Hungarian sweets, Sándor Balla, Chairman of the Vinum Tokaj Canada Inc. offered 6 bottles of Dry by Tokaj as prize. The gifts were handed over to the winners on behalf of the company by Joseph Safian.
