On October 23, leaders of Canadian wine distributor companies and large convention centers alcoholic beverages purchase managers were invited to the Tokaj Wine Boutique Restaurant to get acquainted with Tokaj wines accompanied by Hungarian dishes.
The restaurants owner, Sándor Balla emphasized the efforts that were made ??by Vinum Tokaj Canada and Vinum Tokaj International representatives for nearly a year in order to raise public awareness towards Hungarian wines as widely as possible in the Canadian market. The order placed for the Hungarian wine selection package to be delivered for the year-end holidays to six Canadian companies can be considered already as one of the results of this work performed.
Attila Balla, president of Vinum Tokaj International, presenting in detail the wine selection package and the actions of the Canadian wine promotion project outlined the possibilities of co-operation with the Hungarian wineries. Wines in the package that were served at the dinner following the presentation, were described in detail by master sommelier Joseph Safrain. He adverted to the specific characteristics of the Tokaj Wine Region and those of the wines, to the inherent potential in dry wines of Tokaj, as well as to the international recognition and awards won by these wines in recent years at prestigious international wine competitions.
Kimberly Parnell, host of the film shot about the Tokaj Wine Region told about her experiences during the shooting in Hungary. She urged everyone present to visit Tokaj, enjoy the wines, visits to the wineries, the cultural and historical attractions and to experience the hospitality she had part of during her stay. The film was also screened for the guests, who expressed great enthusiasm about it.
The demand for the wines came up already during the dinner in form of specific quotation requests so we left a truly successful and fruitful vent behind.
