Recognizing their professional, outstanding activity performed on the Canadian market, MP of the Canadian Parliament, Mr. Corneliu Chisu, handed over certificate of merit to Vinum Tokaj representatives on behalf of the Government of Canada.
Celebrating the 11th anniversary edition of the Corvina Business Directory, the Hungarian Canadian Business Association held a large-scale business dinner in Toronto on February 20, 2015. As co-event of the business dinner, Vinum Tokaj Canada and Vinum Tokaj International, companies performing the promotion of Hungarian wines in Canada, organized a Tokaj wine presentation and tasting. The event was honored by the presence of Eve Adams and Corneliu Chisu members of the Canadian Parliament, dr. Bálint Ódor Ambassador of Hungary to Canada, dr. Stefánia Szabó, Consul General in Toronto, and dr. Tibor Stelbaczky economic and commercial counselor.
Ambassador Bálint Ódor congratulated the Hungarian Canadian Business Association for its activities realized in the interest of strengthening the two countries' economic relations, and for editing the Corvina Business Directory, which is an excellent tool to demonstrate the Hungarian enterprises present on the Canadian market. Both the Embassy in Ottawa and the Consulate General in Toronto handles with high priority the development of economic relations between Hungary and Canada. The Ambassador and Consul General was pleased to report on the recent business successes, including the award of 'Top Imported White Wine of Canada' voted for a Hungarian wine, the Dry by Tokaj, stressing that the high quality Hungarian wines, in addition to economic relations, add to and play a significant role in building cultural relationship and facilitating growth in the tourism of the countries.
